We not only have supportive volunteers from the Civitan Club of Dayton, we now have friends who join us throughout the year for events they coordinate for us, like Family Fest, along with Elks Lodge #58.
Find out what the Civitan Club of Dayton, and students from schools throughout our area, including Wright State University and Sinclair Community College, already know - that volunteering with Partners changes lives! Volunteering changes lives because not only are those served benefiting, but those who serve benefit as well with new friendships and new experiences.

Faithful and caring volunteers from Omega Baptist Church collected and donated more than $1,500 in supplies and money in support of those living at Choices' Westbrook home (Interim Care Home) as they coordinated Christmas in July, August and September. The Omega Ushers received a 2019 Community Services Award from the regional Erin Ritchey Memorial Awards.

As one of our busiest volunteers over the years, Vivienne Himmell is a long-time advocate and friend, including her time serving on the Resident Home board and as a member of Partners' Joint Development Committee.

We celebrate volunteers who have dedicated their lives to advocacy, including Wynema Mebane, long-time president of The Advocates for the Developmentally Disabled, pictured being honored with her son Todd.
Student life volunteer service
Young volunteers from Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and more join us each spring as part of Student Life Volunteer Service. They help us with yard work, landscaping, painting, cleaning garages, washing windows and vans and always bring us joy and energy.

Venturing Crew
Partners was honored to work with the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America to charter one of the first integrated Scout troops with members with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Ohio. Our Venturing Crew includes both men and women over the age of 18.
Our Crew participates in volunteer efforts in the community, as well as in all the activities that make Scouting an adventure, including camp outs with other Scouts, earning merit badges and more.
The Brighter Tomorrow Foundation has been instrumental in providing funds for a variety of activities for our Venturing Crew.
Volunteers are welcome to join us as Crew leaders or to join us in our activities. Contact information below.
