Art & Soul

Art & Soul Exhibit Opening and Artists Reception

Art & Soul was created in 2008 through the partnership efforts of Partners For Community Living and Toward Independence to advocate for the creativity and artistic expression of artists with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The annual event is open to eligible artists from throughout Ohio and is supported 100% by sponsorships and donations.

Art and Soul is put on by Toward Independence and Partners For Community Living. The Downtown Dayton Metro Library has graciously hosted the exhibit and awards show in recent years. The gallery is free to the public and available for viewing during the Library’s operating hours.

The current show, Art and Soul 2021, is on display for the month of April at the Downtown Dayton Metro Library for the month of April. Gallery videos will also be released online for those that cannot attend the exhibit in person. The Awards Show, rather than in person this year, will be released on video on April 17th. Check the website and Facebook for the video links. Congratulations to all artists in this year’s show!
