Friend by Choice

Friends by choice
“My friendship with Paul is one of the best things I’ve ever done. It’s changed my life for the better. He was at my wedding. He’s part of our family, taking part in holiday dinners, birthdays and more. I can’t imagine my life without him in it.”
Dianna Hudson about her friend Paul.

Become A Friend

“I would recommend being a Friend By Choice to everyone. Jodi doesn’t talk much but we have so much we share without talking. And there are those times when I’m on the phone with her or stop by her house and she says I love you. It just melts my heart! It doesn’t seem like I do that much but it means so much to her, to the both of us.”
Nancy Reder about her friend Jodi.

The people served by Choices In Community Living and Resident Home Association have good and nurturing homes. Some have family members they visit. Others have no family members and are alone on those most important days, like birthdays and holidays.

What most of them do not have is a friend, someone who does not work with them. As a Friend By Choice volunteer, you not only become a friend you gain a friend. Our program will match you with someone who has been waiting for a friend. We will match your interests and your geographic area.  We will also provide you training and ongoing support.
