Volunteers are vital to the people we serve!

More than one way to volunteer

  • Join us as an individual, class, group, church or civic organization for one time or ongoing activities. Earn school and other service hours.
  • Help us with our monthly Bingo games and other activities with individuals served by Choices In Community Living and Resident Home Association.
  • Join us in our homes for game nights, to watch movies or sing-along, cookout and more.
  • Join our energetic volunteers at our fundraising events, such as our Fish Fry and Bowl-A-Thon.
  • Help us around our homes with landscaping, yard work, painting, cleaning. We hope you might even consider doing windows.
  • Be a Friend By Choice for an individual.

We not only have supportive volunteers with the Civitan Club of Dayton, but we have happy and caring friends who join us throughout the year for events they coordinate for us, like Family Fest, along with Elks Lodge #58.

Find out what the Civitan Club of Dayton, and students from schools throughout our area including from Wright State University and Sinclair Community College already know, that volunteering with Partners changes lives! Volunteering changes lives because not only are those served benefiting, but those who serve are rewarded as well through relationship and giving back to the community.

Faith and caring from the congregation of Omega Baptist Church as they collected and donated more than $1,500 in supplies and money in support of those living at Choices' Westbrook home (Interim Care Home.)

As one of our most prolific volunteers over the years, Vivenne Himmell is one of the happiest parts of our mission at Partners.

Honoring advocates and long-time volunteers like Wynema Mebane with her son Todd.

Student life volunteer service

Young volunteers from Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and more join us each spring as part of Student Life Volunteer Service. They help us with yard work, landscaping, painting, cleaning garages, washing windows and vans and always bring us joy and energy.

Venturing Crew

Partners was honored to work with the Tecumseh Council of the Boy Scouts of America to charter one of the first integrated Scout troops with members with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Ohio. Our Venturing Crew includes both men and women over the age of 18.

Our Crew participates in volunteer efforts in the community, as well as in all the activities that make Scouting an adventure, including camp outs with other Scouts, earning merit badges and more.

The Brighter Tomorrow Foundation has been instrumental in providing funds for a variety of activities for our Venturing Crew.

Volunteers are welcome to join us as Crew leaders or to join us in our activities. Contact information below.
