Our Mission: assisting people with developmental disabilities to have access to opportunities to build safe, healthy and meaningful lives in the community
“I’d like to say thank you to everybody at Choices In Community Living for everything they’ve done for me. When I first came to Choices I was underweight and distraught over by father’s death. I had no dreams about what I wanted to do with my life after my Dad’s death. In fact, I had nightmares. The people at Choices turned my life around. They helped me recover from my loss. They gave me a home and security which showed me life was worth living.” – Donald Rice
Choices In Community Living, Inc. (CICL) is a private, nonprofit 501 (c) (3) agency that provides lifelong person-centered, community-based residential options (homes) and other services for people with autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities in southwestern Ohio. Founded in 1985, we currently support individuals in Butler, Clark, Greene, Madison, Montgomery, Preble and Warren counties.
Our services are licensed and certified by
the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
We are a member of the Ohio Provider Resource Association and CREST Network.
CICL is a founding partner of Partners For Community Living. In 2001 we formed our partnership with the Resident Home Association (RHA) so that together we could better serve our clients and residents by maximizing and conserving current resources (fundraising and shared services), building resources for the future (endowment) and providing quality of life services and support that we could not provide as separate agencies (shared volunteer program).
Together we share common missions and the values of integrity, excellence, humanity, responsibility and respect in providing services for people with developmental disabilities.
